StingRay Client Application - What's Included?
The StingRay Client Application is made up of three main components, the Address Book, Job List and Data Server.
Address Book
A centralised Global Address Book ensures that all users across a local network can access the latest address details for sending files. New address entries can also be added using StingRay Client.
Job List
The Job List is split into outgoing and incoming transmissions and enables users to see a concise, easy to read list of all files that have been sent, received and retrieved in a simple snapshot.
Data Server
The Data Server is an area within this secure file transfer solution that provides space to host files for customers to login and collect. Likewise, the Data Server can be externally accessed by customers to post files for users to collect. Each area is unique to each customer and requires a username and password to access the data. At no point can one client see the work of another.
Additional features of the StingRay Client Application include:
- Drag & drop file upload and sending
- File Preview within Job List - supporting jpg, gif, pdf, tiff and more
- Send files or folders - the hierarchy is maintained
- View retrieved jobs and list of jobs that have been downloaded to the desktop
- Customisable views of the Job List
- Growl Notification
StingRay Client Version Compatability
Client v 2.x provides the following additional functionality for customers using MAC OS 10.5 or above and StingRay Firmware 2.5 or above:
Sending files via Email Hyperlink and sending files via Quicksend delivery option.
Client v3.x is optimised to work with StingRay Firmware version 3.0 and is available free of charge to all customers who are running StingRay Client v2.x.
