StingRay 2.6

StingRay has progressed significantly over recent years and the latest 2.6 release offers users a number of new features and improvements, designed to enhance workflow integration and flexibility whilst making the process of large file transfer easier, quicker and more secure than ever before.

What's new in StingRay 2.6

There have been three major additions in the latest 2.6 release.  These include:

  • Quicksend - a new file delivery option (available when using StingRay Client 2.0.2)
  • The direct upload of files from external web browser users, into StingRay's incoming queue
  • HTTPS as standard

Quicksend

Yet another brand new file sending option has been included in the latest 2.6 release (available when sending files via StingRay’s Client Application, version 2.0.2).  Aptly named Quicksend, this feature allows internal users to send files quickly, without the need to complete an address book entry.

Simply:

  • Create a new job
  • Enter the email address of the intended recipient
  • Then attach the desired files/folders
  • And press send

It really is that easy.

StingRay Client Quicksend

Direct Upload to the Incoming Queue via Ext. Web Browser

Direct Upload to Incoming Queue

StingRay 2.6 now enables external users to upload files directly into StingRayʼs incoming queue, via the external web browser interface.  This new file sending option means that incoming files uploaded to StingRay via the external web interface, can now be integrated directly into automated, internal workflows.

HTTPS

All files sent via StingRay using HTTP based file delivery options, are now secured in transit by HTTPS.

How does HTTPS work?

HTTPS secures data in transit using an SSL certificate.  SSL certificates enable the encryption of data and provide unique authentication information about the SSL certificate owner.  The leading security protocol used on the internet today, SSL provides superior levels of security and is the standard used when purchasing items online.

Self-assigned SSL certificates can be created within the internal web browser interface or alternatively, users can upload existing company SSL certificates.

Additional Features in StingRay 2.6

  • Personalised Customer Login (External Web Browser Upload)
  • Progress Bar (External Web Browser Upload)
  • Successful Upload Notification (External Web Browser Upload)
  • Hyperlink Auto-delete
  • Hyperlink Signature Customisation
