National Magazines chooses StingRay file transfer server

National Magazines has taken the step to reduce the cost of its file transfer provision by installing a Hermstedt StingRay file transfer server to replace their existing, expensive managed service provider.

Hermstedt StingRay file transfer server was a solution that had long been on the radar but with the existing service contract in place National Magazines have had to bide their time. Like many other businesses with the graphic art and prepress industries the time had come where the value being offered by a managed service wasn't being matched by the price of the solution. 

In the current economic climate many companies are turning to in-house file transfer solutions to rationalise costs, with the typical return on investment less than 6 months in comparison to most managed service costs.
