Minor StingRay Client firmware update 2.0.1 released

A minor firmware update has been released for the new, Snow Leopard compatible StingRay Client Application. Addressing two small bugs found in StingRay Client 2.0, version 2.0.1 has fixed both the job list colour handling and job in progress features affected the initial release.

The new StingRay Client 2.0.1 update is now available for download here.

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new, Snow Leopard compatible version of StingRays Client application. The client software has been re-built from the ground up, a demonstration of our dedication to Hermstedt StingRays extensive Mac user base. Alongside the StingRay Client release comes a minor firmware update (2.5.3), which users will have to download and install prior to installing the client application.

Shortly after the release of StingRay 2.5, Pro2col have just announced the first minor firmware update (2.5.1) which is now available for download. Alongside a number of bug fixes and feature improvements, the release includes a new Email Hyperlink feature. The Hyperlink within the email is now formatted in HTML and plain text, shortening the file links displayed and improving both the aesthetics and usability of the recently added Email Hyperlink file transfer protocol.

Apple release new AFP protocol

Apple have released an update (10.5.6) that incorporates a major update of their AFP protocol. As a result of the changes an incompatiblity has been found with the StingRay's mailbox/forwarding feature. StingRay will not forward to a server via AFP running Mac OS X Server 10.5.6 therefore it is recommended that servers remain on 10.5.5 or lower.
